Some days, inspiration comes to you from more than one place. Today, I was inspired by the heat of Summer and the situation I found myself in: with a basket of life's lemons. So, what did I make? Lemonade, of course. That sweet, tart and refreshing drink that always makes hands sticky and lips taste like honey. I hope you enjoy the recipe.
Place roughly measured amounts of water, lemon juice and sugar into a pot over low heat. The ratio of liquid to sugar should be even, adding more lemon juice and less water for a more tart drink. Add 4 to 5 whole mint leaves to the pot and steep for about two minutes or until the sugar is completely dissolved. Strain the hot mixture into a glass FULL of ice. Enjoy!
P.S. This recipe almost tastes like Starbuck’s Green Tea Lemonade but has no tea. You could always modify the recipe and add tea leaves with the mint leaves.
Thanks and love,
Annie
